Nicky Stixx was a stage name with a Tampa-based band, Hollywood Boulevard, in 2017. Nicky (Wally) sat in as their drummer for a year. Part of the deal was to sport a hair band style wig, and I complied. Others in the band wee more committed with spandex pants and the long locks. Hard rockin’ hits from hair bands Cinderella, Jackyl, Poison and others. Steady jamming efforts produced lots of sweat and some extra laundry time.

Bag your mics and pedals. They take enough abuse with scrapes and scuffs, sweat that rusts and blood drops that stay
Bring extra tees for dry comfort after each set of play. Not cool for the hardware to splash unnecessary sweat. Rims oxidize fast!

MISTY CHROME Tama Rockstars
The Tama Rockstars were misty chrome dark silver, with black skins. It’s most valued performance for me was an Ybor City gig at Tequila’s in 2017. For 5 years prior, these drums saw many stages from Panama City to Tampa.
Custom Maple Pros 2009-'10
White alabaster pearl and definitely beautiful, the 9-ply maple shells gave off a great resonance to solid strikes. The hardware was crappy and couldn’t handle the road, so they had to go after only a year.
LUDWIGS: 2000-2009
By far, the most beloved and sufficiently-serving drum kit ever owned by Wally. This 7-pc Ludwig paid for itself many times over with a decade of gigs. Only rarely, did that extra floor tom get left home. It came in very handy for a dual thunder strike with left and right floor toms.
